In this afternoon session you’ll learn how to make a sweet shortcrust pastry as well as a chocolate rye pastry. Together we will make 3 different fillings for your tarts.
A seasonal frangipane tart, a creme patisserie glazed fruit tart and a chocolate mousse tart with a chocolate rye pastry. You’ll make one large 8inch and 2 individual tartlets.
You will also look at how you can adapt to a vegan pastry and have spare pastry to take home to practice.
Arrive at 1.30pm to join us for coffee and something sweet, teaching will commence shortly after concluding at 4.30pm. Cost for the session £80.
For those wishing to attend the Savoury Pastry session in the morning a complimentary, vegetarian lunch will be provided by Sage and Season. Just add both sessions to you basket. Book Savoury Pastry 9.30am - 12.30pm.
The class will be kept to a maximum of 8 guests to ensure that you have any support and assistance required throughout the day. Sage and Season will host you providing refreshments and snacks. We are to be notified of any allergens at least 7 days prior to the event at amanda@sageandseason.co.uk.
